Structure
Thermal sensor can be roughly classified into two types according to its operation mechanism; break type and make type.Break type (normally closed switch) turns "OFF" at operating temperatures (predetermined temperature) or higher.Make type (normally open switch) turns "ON" at operating temperatures or higher.

The difference between break type and make type is made by selecting and shape designing of thermal sensor elements such as Thermorite and permanent magnet. The break type has ring shaped Thermorite® with its both sides sandwiched by also ring shaped permanent magnet. Inside the hole of the rings, a reed switch is inserted. The make type also has the identical structure, but is has a gap spacer inserted in the middle of Thermorite.
