| ii. Make type |
As the make type has a gap spacer in the middle of
Thermorite®, when the surrounding temperature is lower than the
return temperature, two pairs of permanent magnet and Thermorite®
creates tow independent magnetic fields ( see fig. below). These two
magnetic fields turn the switch "OFF" just as in the case
of break type in higher temperature than the operation temperature.
When the surrounding temperature becomes higher than the operating
temperature, the Thermorite changes into nonmagnetic material, letting
each permanent magnet creating independent magnetic fields in further
ends of the reed switch (see fig. below). As a result, reed and the
tips of reed contact are magnetically inducted to become negative
and positive poles. Due to the magnetism, two contacts becomes together,
turning the switch "ON". |
