| NEC TOKIN thermal sensor consists of ring shaped Thermorite®,
permanent magnet and gap spacer attached together with reed switch
inserted into the center hole. Thermorite is a ferromagnetic substance
made of soft magnetic material. This material decreases the saturation
magnetic flux density as the temperature rises and turns into a paramagnetic
substance at the curie temperature. By this structure, Thermorite
turns on and off the switch by converting the heat to magnetic energy
according to the surrounding temperature. |
