Completion of Wujiang Factory in China
NEC TOKIN Corporation (President: Yuichi Haneta; Head office: Sendai, Japan) is proud to announce the successful completion of the dedication ceremony for its new company in Wujiang, China.
On March 12 (Friday) at 10:00, a dedication ceremony was held on the factory premises with approximately 100 administrative officials, construction staff and local company executives in attendance. After Mr. Haneta, president of NEC TOKIN, greeted the participants and local administrative representatives offered congratulatory messages, a tape-cutting ceremony was held and a memorial tree was planted.
For the present, the Wujiang factory will be used as a mass production base for tantalum capacitors to respond to the expected growth in the Chinese market, as well as a secondary base to the Xiamen plant for lithium-ion rechargeable batteries. It is also being sighted as a future production base for other NEC TOKIN products.
